Jonathan Marks – Owner / Design Director
An honors graduate of Syracuse University, Jonathan has over 25 years of industrial design
experience. Jonathan perfected his skills working with several of the country's top ID firms. As
a senior designer at Henry Dreyfuss Associates in New York City he designed products for AT&T,
Polaroid, and John Deere. He then worked as Design Manager at Altitude Inc. in Boston, where
he designed and strategized products and branding for Symbol Technologies, Tupperware,
Motorola, DeWalt Tools, and Black & Decker. In 2001 Jonathan established JAM-DESIGN, a
design firm specialized in the industrial design and development of products in the consumer,
industrial, housewares, and electronics industries. He helped define the product language
and strategy for a majority of Plug-n-Play radios for Sirius Satellite Radio. Jonathan also
continued his relationship with Black & Decker where he developed showcase pieces to
highlight new and emerging technologies. Winner of numerous IDSA and CES Design awards
he is listed on dozens of design patents. Jonathan has taught design courses at the university
level and his work has appeared in multiple international publications, on television, in movies,
and at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum.
