Xact’s challange for the XTR8 was to develop a high-end audio aesthetic to be placed over a low-cost existing rear shell. The solution included extending the new look into a sculptural cast metal base, resulting with a high quality impression.A number of concepts were developed for the facades and cast metal bases before the selection the final design direction.
